About Bodies of Water

Bodies of Water is a fashion-house focused on paying homage to all Afrikan's who chose death over enslavement and/ or fought against it. Especially the ones we lost during the trans-atlantic slave trade. Allow us to give thanks to those ancestors and keep their fighting spirit alive through clothing, accessories, literature, music and more within the BOW Universe.

Bodies of Water, before being born on December 25th, 2022, was named WTRS*. WTRS* was Cohen, our founder's bedroom project. The rebrand to Bodies of Water was an attempt to take creating seriously, as well as a developing a political consciousness around what being Afrikan is, especially in the context of Afrikan's who's ancestors were enslaved.

Today, every Bodies of Water project is carefully crafted and designed, with intention guiding the team's every move. Our founder, as an interdisciplinary artist, employs their skills within Bodies of Water through many mediums. Photography, Graphic Design, Creative Direction, Product Design, Producing and Content Creation. Bodies of Water serves as the perfect creative and ideological vehicle for Cohen to express themselves artistically and strategically through.
